Compost is tilled and the first veggies are in!

After receiving a good bit of rain over the previous day+, we got a bit of a lull in the rain yesterday afternoon.  That gave me the time to roto-till in the compost I'd spread on the side garden.

Because The Bear had been put to bed and The Boy and The Girl were playing in the yard, I had the time to get some stuff planted.  Unfortunately very few of my starters lived this year for some odd reason so I had to purchase organic, non-GMO starters.  I was able to get a lot of those purchased tomato and pepper plants in along with a few basil plants.

I have a number of seeds to plant, but at least we finally are "on the board" in the side garden!
