Minor improvements

I woke up early this morning, so with time to spare before going in to work, I took the boy (who also woke up early) to the plot for 1/2 hour of meanderings.

The cucumbers are just starting to break ground as are their companion radishes.  There is a new volunteer tomato that's made an appearance in the watermelon box bringing the total of volunteer tomatoes to 3, that I'm aware of.  A lot of snow peas were picked including some tiny ones.  Normally, I wouldn't pick the small ones, but with all the rain they're calling for in the next few days, I think it's necessary.

A surprise to me was that I needed to remove suckers from tomatoes for the first time this year.  All in all, the tomatoes are looking pretty good.  The peppers not quite as much so.  I need to do some reading on how I can organically supercharge them.  I also went through the tomatoes, basil, and peppers and removed some yellowed or bug-nibbled leaves so the plants were directing their energies to the best places.
